There are a number of medical, accounting, legal and engineering professions that are eligible to borrow up to 90% with no Lenders Mortgage Insurance (LMI).

A standard home loan required payment of LMI where the Loan to Value Ratio (LVR) exceeds 80%.  There are loan packages available to the above professionals that raise the LVR threshold to 90%.  This can save thousands of dollars.  The loans are no different to a standard home loan, as are the terms and conditions.

To be eligible you need to show:

  • University degree qualification in your relevant field
  • Member of industry association

In some cases there are income thresholds as well.
